The Pixies - Ana - Bossanova (1990)
I just love this song so much.
It’s DEFINITELY not a typical ‘Pixies’ song, and that’s what makes it so special, I feel.
The soft vocals are beautiful..
But mostly, it’s that damn chorus guitar riff which is just so amazing.
The way it fits in with the vocals and.. just..
It’s just fantastic. This song is great, it’s perfect on this album. I love it.
School right now: A waste of my time?
This year, year 12… just feels like such a waste of time.
I mean, I already know what course I want to do, and where I want to do it, so I’m basically just ‘surviving’ this year so I can do it.

I know that’s kinda stupid, but..
I just have no motivation! It’s just so boring for me.
Except for IT Apps and Psych, all the other subjects are like, uninteresting to me right now. The content is either a chore, or stuff I’ve already learned last year.
VCE is annoying.
On top of this crap, I basically have one good friend, because I’m hating all the others, who insist they are my friends but leave me out of everything.
Online/holidays are almost the only times I can talk to people who I don’t hate.
/TMNT rant
So I was mentioning to my Mum how Michael Bay is making the TMNT aliens or something for “Ninja Turtles”, the new movie.. (don’t get me started on that… I’m going to try and reserve judgement until I see it, anyway)
And it came to the point where I mentioned “Leonardo is blue, Raphael is Red.. etc”
And she seemed absolutely stunned that I knew this detail.
Like, she seems to think that TMNT is for kids?
Maybe the 80’s cartoon/comic adaptation was, but you just can’t say that about almost every other medium that they’re appeared in.
From the original, legitimate, serious, action-focused comic in which the shredder is (as far as you can tell from the first issue) KILLED, it is evident that it’s not some crap for kids.
I mean, back then they didn’t have different coloured headbands, but regardless.
I’ve grown up with the turtles, I had figures when I was little, based off the light-hearted 80’s cartoon, and as I grew up, I discovered the real nature of the franchise. There is definitely a mature fanbase here.
Anyway, I’m 17, they’re ‘TEENAGERS’, so what’s the big deal.
Some people need to grow up, and I’m talking about those who think it’s something for little kids.

Dreamcast Collection: Sonic Adventure DX
OK, I just need to…
So I bought Sonic Adventure DX on Steam a few months back, part of the dreamcast collection… for VERY little money…
Complaints:
Low res textures, I have to replace them with textures from xbox-port PC version from 2004 to make it look.. good.
No widescreen it gives a blue-ish border, you can ‘fix it’, but it only stretches the screen.
The config was BROKEN until I made it work by creating a reg key. (Wouldn’t recognise controller, couldn’t change keys.)
50fps lock on this version.
No proper support, even for 360 controller, without a fix. (Camera goes EVERYWHERE)
The gamegear games supposedly included like the gamecube version are.. missing.
Even the few dollars I spent on it was not worth the trouble. Shoulda bought the older version at retail.
I just don’t understand how they can have a somewhat decent port in 2004, and do a new one years later and make it WORSE.
So, it’s probably worth the money I spent on it, and it’s playable and fun, when you fix things like spinning camera and stuff..But even so…
Sega, I am disappoint.
I should just go play this on DC or GCN instead of wasting my time here.
(Note: I did actually fix almost all the annoying issues, and the game actually does look awesome now… not the point.. :P) Pic attached.
